Countries of the EU Baltic Sea region are improving together the regional transport system

The conference was attended by representatives of EU Baltic Sea Region transport sector, representatives of EC Directorates, and scientists. With a view of the development of regional cooperation there were also invited Belorussian representatives. 
“We have to coordinate national transport policies and harmonise the investment plans in transport sector infrastructure. Implementation of large Trans-European Transport Network projects will improve transport links within the region and beyond. Our region will be able to provide better services for cross-border freight transportation flows, also it will be better accessible for tourists”, said Vice-Minister Arūnas ŠtarAs in his opening speech.
Vice-Minister also noted the necessity to improve transport links with neighbouring countries and to look for more efficient solutionS in logistics, as well as to promote innovations.
