Robertas Gudavičius, Lithuania Post‘s Director of Postal Operations Division, said:
“Considering quality of service criteria, Lithuania Post took the 11th place among 203 postal operators providing the express mail service. Even such developed countries as the USA, Japan, Switzerland, Norway took lower positions. We are the best among the Baltic countries as well: the designated operator of Latvia took the 33rd place, Estonia – 41st. This is a really high assessment of our work showing that Lithuania Post provides quality services in every sense.”
Last year Lithuania Post received a Silver Award.
The EMS Cooperative annually awards postal operators being the best in EMS service. All in all, EMS Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards were given to the representatives of 41 countries.
For the assessment of postal operators, the commission takes into account 16 criteria. One of the most important criteria is delivery time. The EMS service is provided with priority; therefore, the items must be delivered to addressees following set targets.
When making assessment, timely transfer of data on delivery events, scanning of incoming items, responses to customer inquiries are taken into account.
Presently Lithuania Post delivers international express mail items to 81 countries worldwide. On average, items reach destination countries within 1-5 business days.
The Public Limited Company Lietuvos paštas runs the widest network of postal access points in Lithuania. Lithuania Post also provides logistic, financial intermediation, and electronic services.
