Lithuanian Minister of Transport and Communications invites German businessmen to develop cooperation in transport sector

On June 2-4 Mr. Algirdas Butkevičius, Minister of Transport and Communications, meets with the delegation of German Federal Lands of Bremen, Hamburg and Pomerania, with politicians responsible for the development of transport, and with German businessmen. The meeting is targeted at representation of Lithuanian transport logistics sector and at inviting German transport experts to develop the cooperation with Lithuania.

 

On June 2 Minister A. Butkevičius visited Bremerhaven, where he viewed the container terminal, and got acquainted with its operation specifics, as well as the ways of solving economic problems. Lithuanian delegation also met Mr. Ralf Nagel, Bremen Minister of economics and ports. During the meeting future visit of German businessmen to Lithuania was discussed. 

 

On July 3 Minister A. Butkevičus met Dr. Otto Ebnet, Pomeranian Minister of Transport, Construction and Development. Lithuanian delegation discussed with Schwerin businessmen the opportunities of cooperation. 

 

Germany is the main partner of Lithuania in the maritime transport sector. We have viable common transport projects, therefore our objective today should be the continuation of cooperation and creation of new economically useful projects”, - emphasized Mr. A. Butkevičius.
