Lower speed on highways and main roads, as well as the requirements for winter tyres will apply to drivers in Lithuania from November

From 10 November to 1 April the ban for driving with summer tyres will apply on Lithuanian roads to the vehicles the maximum mass of which is less than 3.5 tons. The use of spiked tyres will be allowed from 1 November to 10 April.   
The Ministry of Transport and Communications also reminds that from 1 November to 1 April individual vehicles shall not exceed the speed of 110 km/h on Lithuanian highways, and 100 km/h on main roads. The requirements for changing summer tyres during the cold period of the year and limiting speed on highways are defined by the Road traffic rules.
