Main transport and transit issues have been discussed with the Prime Minister

After hearing the report of Klaipėda State Seaport Development Council and perspectives of the Port development in 2010, the Transport and Transit Commission approved the report and proposals. The report states that despite the negative after-effect of the economic crisis that impacted activity indices of Klaipėda State Seaport, the development of the Port did not stop. The Port has retained its competitive positions and this year it will continue priority infrastructure investment projects. 
Members of the Commission have also supported the activities of the working group established by the Order of the Prime Minister and approved the means of the group‘s further perspectives regarding the implementation of East-West transport corridor. 
Discussion on Klaipėda Public Logistics Centre (PLC), which has been recognised as an economic project of the State importance, was focused on the development perspectives and the selection of a new place for the PLC.
