New regional modern control centre of flights starts it’s activity in Vilnius

On November, 30 State enterprise “Oro navigacija” has presented a new regional modern control centre of flights. The centre occupies 328 square meters of the area.  Four managers of flights, the chief of relief and the operator of information about the traffic of flights will simultaneously work in it at a time. The cost of the project amounts to 26 000 000 litas.

In 2004 the services of State enterprise “Oro navigacija” used almost 109 000 crews of  planes. Under the statement of the general director of enterprise mr. Algimantas Raščius, intensity of flights above Lithuania in current of last two years has grown approximately for 30 percents, therefore opening of the new centre has occurred in due time.
