Specialists discussed on network and information security situation in Lithuania

On 24-25 November the European Network and Information Security Conference ”Readiness for advanced solutions on handling network and information security incidents” took place in Vilnius.

The main objective of the conference is to provide a forum for the discussion of ensuring user readiness for network and information security ( NIS) incidents. A particular focus will be on the preparedness of service providers, residential and business end-users.

Mr. Petras Cėsna, Minister of Transport and communications of the Republic of Lithuania , opened the conference and said, that reinforcing the security of information network, law enforcements against hi-tech criminals is a way to create the information society.

More than 200 participants from various countries have taken the place in discussions about network and information security situation in Lithuania, internet threats and security solutions.

 

Conference was organized by the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (RRT) in cooperation with the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania (MoTC).
