Minister Skuodis to visit Germany – will take part in the E-Fuels Conference and IAA Mobility 2023
On 4-5 September, Marius Skuodis, Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania, will pay a visit to Munich, Germany – at the invitation of Dr Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, Minister will take part in the Ministers’ meeting and the international conference on the promotion of sustainable mobility and the development of the use of e-fuels in the transport sector. Minister Skuodis will also visit one of the largest mobility exhibitions, IAA Mobility 2023, to be opened by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
At the international conference in Munich, Mr Skuodis along with the Transport Ministers from different countries will discuss the possibility of enhancing cooperation and sharing experience in the development of e-fuel infrastructure, the introduction of new technologies and a regulatory environment favourable for innovation in the whole transport sector. During this event, the Ministers plan to sign a joint declaration expressing their commitment to those aims.
IAA Mobility, Europe's most important car exhibition, taking place from September 5 to 10 in Munich, will be attended by political, business, industrial and other leaders. The latest cars and their production technologies will be demonstrated by all the world's largest manufacturers. The event will also focus on the presentation of electrical vehicles and other innovative mobility solutions, investments in research and climate-friendly infrastructure development.
According to the European Green Deal, Europe has to switch to a climate neutral economy by 2050.
