Drivers allowed to use spiked winter tyres longer
Today, taking into account quarantine conditions and restricted movement between municipalities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and on the basis of the Ministry of Transport and Communications proposition, the Government extended the spiked winter tyres usage period until 10 May.
The deadline for replacing spiked winter tyres with summer tyres has been postponed because movement between municipalities has been restricted due to quarantine.
Binding time limits for tyre replacement are set by the Road Traffic Rules (RTR). In accordance with current RTR requirements, exploitation of vehicles with spiked tyres is prohibited from 10 April.
