Lithuania continues assistance to Ukraine – Ukrainian carriers can travel through Lithuania without road permits
In response to the war in Ukraine that has been going on for more than a month, Lithuania has allowed Ukrainian carriers to carry out bilateral and transit cargo transportation through the territory of Lithuania without road permits.
Ukrainian road transport carriers are allowed to conduct bilateral and transit transportation through the territory of Lithuania without permits until the end of 2022, with the possibility of modifying the deadline depending on the situation in Ukraine.
This decision was taken by the Lithuanian Ministry of Transport and Communications in response to a request from Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.
Helping Ukrainians in difficulty due to the war, the Ministry of Transport and Communications also provided the opportunity for Ukrainian cargo carriers to return to their country free of charge after the beginning of the war in Ukraine in February.
