The third Deputy Minister joined the team of Minister Marius Skuodis
The third Deputy Minister Julius Skačkauskas starts working in the team of the Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania. He will be responsible for road and air transport.
J. Skačkauskas has extensive experience in the field of international cooperation. He holds the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Political Science from the Institute of International Relations and Political Science. He later acquired the Master’s degree in Public Policy in Seoul, South Korea, and has undergone internship program in Bulgaria and Belgium.
J. Skačkauskas has worked in the Chancellery of the Government of Lithuania, he also has experience of diplomatic work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the field of EU policy. Moreover, J. Skačkauskas has worked as an expert in preparing the concept of the Master Plan of the territory of the Republic of Lithuania, advised on the part of the solutions of this plan, and also participated in other projects of a similar nature. Recently, J. Skačkauskas worked at the representative office of LG Electronics Latvia in Vilnius. He was responsible for marketing and business development.
“I hope to use my experience and knowledge, strengthen and increase efficiency in the field of road and air transport by combining transparency and clarity of operations, implementing innovative solutions and opportunities to create such transport infrastructure that would be as convenient as possible for an individual“, says J. Skačkauskas.
The Deputy Minister J. Skačkauskas starts working in the Ministry of Transport and Communications from the 23rd of February.
